“Reunited” - AKA “WHO’S YOUR DADDY”

~It’s said that the things that hurt you most in life

are the things God will use to help others. . .

My adoptive parents, biological parents, extended family and I would all like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being interested in our side of the story.

We truly hope that the FOX television show “Who’s Your Daddy” has touched your life in a very positive way like it has ours.  Everything’s been very positive except for some critics remarks.

I, TJ Myers, would like to explain some very important things that I have told interviewers, but they have never, to my knowledge aired:

1)  I asked FOX from the very beginning to put my wonderful, amazing, loving parents that adopted me on the show. They mean the world to me and are behind me 100% in being “Reunited” with my biological parents.

2)  From when we first knew about the show and the whole time that we were filming, it was called “Reunited”

FOX’s amazing investigative team, found my biological Dad about two months before it started filming. We both agreed to do the story for gas money and some lost wages. We were both actually going to lose money when we agreed to do the show. We were so excited because, finally, our dreams of meeting each other was going to come true and FOX was going to make it happen.

4)  The day before we were scheduled to start filming, producers got my biological father and I to the location that we were filming at, and had meetings with us (separately, of course). They told my birth dad and the other men that were acting as my dads, that they were going to get appearance fees. And, that’s when they told me about the $100,000.  I feel FOX did a very kind, generous thing to offer money to help who ever won it. Then they sequestered us. They took away all cell phones, car keys, and lap tops and always had someone watching us. They wanted the show to be fair.

5) The critics have completely blown out of proportion my first movie that I starred in called “Seduction of Innocence”, an “R” rated drama.  If critics and Jay Leno would have done their research they would have found that  I was fully clothed throughout the whole movie.  If you have any doubts,  please go see the movie for yourself.  But, make sure that you get “Seduction of Innocence” (the one I’m in) and not “Justine’s Seduction of Innocence.”

6)  It’s been stated by  critics trying to sell their stories that I’m a Playboy Playmate. The only time that I’ve been in Playboy was for the Southwest Conference Edition and I was FULLY clothed (top and bottom).  If you have ANY doubts, please, call Playboy.

Being adopted is a hurt that has subconsciously haunted me way more than I knew. I was adopted through a welfare agency when I was 6 weeks old. The records were closed, but when I turned 18  I could write the agency and let them know that I would like to take a chance and meet my birth parents. I was told that  if my birth parents, also, wrote to the welfare/adoption agency and stated that they would like to see me the adoption agency could make a match.  Well, I wrote in several times and no match.  Each letter that I got back from the adoption agency felt like I was rejected by my birth parents again and again.  The hurts kept penetrating so deeply.

I flew from Texas to San Diego where I was born and spent a week going to five different government agencies to try and obtain my birth records.  It seemed like no matter what I tried it was one dead end after another!  And, I didn’t have any money to hire a private detective.  I started to give up hope and tried to block out the underlying longing to fill this empty void inside me.

Well,  I found out some VERY SHOCKING NEWS after being reunited with my birth father.  He and his mom actually took a letter to the adoption agency that stated that he wanted to meet me and they watched the clerk put it into my personal file.  This all took place shortly after he got back from fighting for America’s freedom in Vietnam.  Seventy five percent of my birth dad’s platoon did not come back!  But, God made a promise to my Dad that he would see me.  Anyway, if the “adoption” agency wouldn’t have misplaced those papers I could have met my birth parents years ago and started the  healing process.

“THE REUNION” of my birthparents and me telling them, “THANK YOU FOR HAVING ME AND NOT ABORTING ME”.  And, my BIRTH DAD ASKING ME FOR FORGIVENESS, AND MY BIRTH MOM OPENING UP TO THE FAMILY SHE HAS NOW AND TRUSTING THEM TO UNDERSTAND THAT SHE HAD A DAUGHTER LONG AGO HAS STARTED THE HEALING PROCESS IN ALL OF US.  AND, THE MORE THAT WE HEAL AND BECOME WHOLE, THE MORE WE CAN LOVE.

My beautiful, wonderful  “Mom” (Jolene) that I consider to be an angel, and my strong, stoic Dad (Bob Myers) that adopted me, and my funny, wise Dad (John) that my adopted Mom married after her divorce from Bob are all very happy, because they see even more love and peace in me, which overflows to them.  They have all given me unconditional love.  I am so grateful and blessed by this.

I LOVE MY ADOPTIVE PARENTS! My amazing Mom that adopted me has had major medical problems. Now, in a wheelchair I have moved her and John from Texas to my home here in California. I THANK GOD for the unknown monies that  FOX generosity put up. Now, I will be able to help her pay off past debts and help toward some of her medical needs.

And, I personally want to THANK ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT.

Warmest of Wishes and Blessings from GOD,

GOD Bless,

~TJ
